Luis Percáres is a cartoonist, illustrator, poet, visual artist and publicist. 

Luis Percáres' artworks have been published in several digital media, advertising, magazines, newspapers and books.

Chilean print media such as El Mercurio, La Tercera, La Nación y La Cuarta also have reproduced their illustrations and cartoons.

He has over 50 years of experience in cartooning, illustration, graphic design, painting, advertising, art direction and mass media.

Luis Percáres still continues creating, drawing and painting. He is dedicated to art, writing and poetry. The experiences and situations of life itself serve to inspire him to create of visual characters and stories, which continue charming, self absorbing and transporting to the way of dreams to thousands of people.

Education
Bachelor Degree in Illustration and Cartooning, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Masters Degree in Painting, School of Fine Arts of the University of Chile.  
Diploma in Advertising and Visual Semiotics, Chile.

Luis Percáres has won several international prizes and been given numerous awards, including:

* Creative Lifetime Achievement Award - Chile - 2006
   Prize given by the National Salon of Comic and Illustration of Chile and the  School of Graphic Design at Los Leones University. 

* Best Pen Drawing Cartoonist - Argentina - 2008
  Luis Alberto Percáres was among the top 10 of the best pen cartoonists in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
  
* Chilean Comics for the World - Chile - 2007
   Anthology published by the Government of Chile — thanks to the collaboration of the Association of Illustrators of Chile, ASODICH.

* Anime Colorate - Italy - 2012
  Recognition at the album of Anime Colorate. His artworks had an excellent reception, both by the Italian public and critics.
