Brief Summary
I’ve been illustrating, either freelance or in-house, since '92. Having worked as an artist at a newspaper for many years, any technique I’ve used needed to be executed quickly. One of my aims with this mixed-digital technique is to capture the spontaneous energy when we sketch and carry that into the completed illustration. In addition to being a working artist, I’ve taught digital illustration for Grand Valley State University, as well as painting and advanced illustration at Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, Mi.
