Career Summary

KC-Imaging- Business Owner & Manager.(2003-)
Running a small & successful operation that offers Photography, Videography & Design services. As a Sole Trader, I occasionally employ a small team of Photographers & Assistants to undertake any large events. I have responsibility for their training, management and that any necessary Insurance or Health & Safety issues are taken care of. Liaising with my accountant, I also ensure that their tax obligations are met.
Having undertaken work with clients such as The Open University & The NCH, I have demonstrated professionalism to provide an outcome of a high standard, ensuring that the client is delighted by the experience, and have many returning customers as a result.
Providing services for a local Charity is the companies main focus, undertaking 50+ jobs per year on their behalf. These include family portraiture with my portable studio in the homes of severely disabled or terminally ill children, covering events such as parties, christenings or events. When met with such delicate subjects, compassion & patience is an absolute must, & I pride myself on my ability to create a calm & relaxed environment in highly pressured situations.

Jessops- (2004-2013)
Store Manager. I progressed through the roles of Sales Expert, Supervisor, & Lab Manager to having ultimate responsibility for ensuring the smooth & efficient running of a new store. For its opening, I liaised with the marketing department to recruit a team of 7 staff, and leading from the front, ensured that they were trained & encouraged to become confident, skilled & focused on their work.
Reporting directly to a Regional Business Manager, I attended monthly meetings in London alongside the companies top managers in order to generate & promote ideas to drive the business forward, Securing Business to Business clients, Generating our own marketing tools & P.O.S such as flyers & posters, maintaining creativity as it is key to establishing a new concept. Day to day responsibility for maintaining high standards-for presentation & visual merchandising, health & safety, stock control and ensuring the store achieves profitable growth against target.
Most recently I was Photo Manager of Jessops flagship store in Manchester & built a highly successful team from scratch that included full lab services as well as in store studio portraits. As a driving force behind the store, I coached my colleagues & supported them to achieve their best in sales performance, providing exceptional customer service, teaching best practice & progress for the business as a whole.
