My background in graphic design is apparent throughout my work. I like using strong colour and strong composition with simple but sophisticated imagery, usually within a concept or narrative. My work is generally hand-drawn and then digitally coloured. I feel my clean naïve style and bold striking colours engage viewers on a direct and emotional level. My illustrations poke fun at reality with compositional awareness and understanding of subject matter being prevalent. Humour, drama and the melancholic all make an appearance in my work.
