Brief Summary
Hailing from the UK originally, I have been here in the States for more than 16 years. During my 6 years as an assistant, I learned from, and was greatly influenced by photographers across many disciplines, the most powerful being advertising & music.
For my own work, I am drawn to the challenge of capturing children in their native habitats, and landscapes with a sense of scale. While they may not seem like natural partners, my approach to each one is similar in that my subject & the environment play an equal role of importance within the frame.
While all artists draw upon, and are inspired by, great works by others (I am no exception here), my focus tends more on the moment at hand, reacting to the prevailing conditions, trying to find the harmony between elements that will produce magic.
