Blue Bliss has been a glassblower, haunted house painter, fine artist, muralist, illustrator, animator, projection designer, graphic designer, motion graphics designer, photographer, videographer, portraitist, lyricist, sound designer and playwright. As an illustrator, Blue Bliss has created advertising, book and editorial illustrations. As a muralist, she has painted scenery for Dallas Opera, SeaWorld, Marine World, and carnivals. As a fine artist, she has executed many portrait commissions, paintings, and digital landscapes. She was an assistant lead animator on the feature film “A Scanner Darkly”, and has concepted and created animations for television and for Johns Hopkins University. She has worked on many projects as a graphic designer and a motion graphics designer, for such clients as MTV, The History Channel, Ericsson, Mattel, Frito-Lay, Charles Schwab, and NASA. Most recently, she wrote, directed and shot the short film “Guru Bagel”, combining live action and animation, and is developing a multimedia performance piece, “The Raven-Winged Hours”. Blue also plays the fiddle and guitar. She resides in Brooklyn NY.

Blue Bliss is highly focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Her wide range of project experience makes her very versatile with the ability to concept, design and execute graphics in many styles. Her years of successful experience as a graphic artist in a variety of disciplines include animations; illustration, hand-drawn and computer graphics; art and animation for video, TV and film; large format digital graphics; corporate training and elearning graphics; painted and printed murals; theme park graphics; and portraiture. Proficient in Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects, among others, she also has strong hand-drawing and painting abilities.

She was an assistant lead animator and team leader on the Richard Linklater feature film “A Scanner Darkly”, also creating illustrations for the movie posters and publicity stills. Since moving to NYC in 2006 she has been freelancing for numerous agencies and companies, primarily as a designer and animator.
