Helena Turinski has worked mainly as a graphic designer for the last 16 years, but has always dabbled in illustration on the side. Now she had made the move back to the drawing board.
She wields a humble grey lead pencil and both pen and brush in her favourite mediums of ink and watercolour, finding they best suit her loose, carefree style that is punctuated with humour. Every now and then, she takes to a pile of magazines with scissors, or clips her own photographs to assemble amusing collages. Many of her illustrations also incorporate her original surface pattern designs.
Helena also produces an online fashion journal with original photography and illustration. The content is quirky, informative and just a little tongue-in-cheek!
