I am a visual storyteller living in my hometown: Hollywood, California.

I work with the same clients again and again because I love what I do.

I have done portraits with people like Angelina Jolie and Steven Spielberg and even the grocer on the corner.

Famous people are okay, but I think as a society we give them way too much credit. Ordinary, everyday people are every bit as compelling and interesting. I enjoy getting to know someone, photographing them, and then telling their story in a picture.

I am a storyteller. Great pictures tell stories.

This is what I aim to do.

And also, I aim to have a lot of fun too.

Just shot the campaign for "The Expendables", next summers blockbuster film starring Sly Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Dolph Lundgren.

My photography book FACES OF SUNSET BOULEVARD, A PORTRAIT OF LOS ANGELES (published Dec 2008 by Santa Monica Press) was named top photography book of 2008 by ShutterBug Magazine. I also share the 2009 SCIBA book award with Annie Leibovitz for this. Pop Matters heralded FACES OF SUNSET BOULEVARD as a "leap forward in social documentary photography...one of the strongest statements about man's dark fate in the west ever committed to paper in the author's chosen form."
