Over my life-long career as an artist, I have has pursued various aspects of art-making, including photography, drawing, painting, video and installation art, digital imaging, even performance art. Growing up in rural upstate New York, I took it upon myself satisfy my interest in art, taking every high school art class I could and driving to the nearest town to take community art classes.
After earning a liberal arts degree from Goddard College in Vermont in 1993, I developed a body of fine art photography and then attended RIT, graduating with master’s degree in imaging arts.
Since arriving in Atlanta in 2000, I have specialized as a graphic artist. And, in 2008, I rediscovered oil painting in the form of abstract imagery. Through this recent interplay of graphic design and abstract painting, I have explored various color theory, blending technique and layering and glazing processes to create a highly colorful, individual style of oil painting
