Modern portraits of figures with captivating eyes and wild wispy hair are the trademark of Ali J. Inspired by characters, childhood and her imagination she creates artwork, primarily portraits that are whimsical, dreamy and invoke the imagination.

On canvas or paper the preferred technique is to layer vintage book pages across the surface and then paint with expressive lines and hints of bold modern colours.
