Adam Carey is a multi-discipline designer who specializes in logo and apparel design. Adam has lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he was taught the tricks of the trade at NSCAD University and made his bones creating logos and websites with RedRiot Branding before taking on the Senior Designer shoes at Avid Apparel in Toronto, Ontario.
He now lives in his homeland, Edmonton, Alberta where he pushes pixels for BR2 Architecture during the day while working with various clients on the side with the help of his cat, Rosie.
BR2 ARCHITECTURE - Edmonton, Alberta (October 2015 - Present) Adam now works with an architecture and interior design firm where he is responsible for all internal facing design, include the website design and maintenance, as well as outward facing marketing materials, which include both printed and web material.
AVID APPAREL - Toronto, Ontario (Jan 2013 - present) Avid Apparel provides custom apparel design and screen printing to colleges and universities across Canada. Adam became the senior designer of Avid Apparel and was responsible for all internal design materials, including the website design / upkeep, as well as all apparel design which included high end retail brands such as East Coast Lifestyle.
BARR RYDER ARCHITECTS & INTERIOR DESIGNERS - Edmonton, Alberta (April - Aug 2012) Barr Ryder is a commercial architecture firm based in Alberta. As a graphic design intern, Adam's responsibilities ranged from stationary and website updates to rendering 3D models of projects and preparing presentation boards for client meetings.
ELEMENT SUSTAINABLE DESIGN CONSULTANTS INC. - Edmonton Alberta (July - Aug 2012) ESDCI is a side consultancy of Barr Ryder Architects, which Adam was tasked to create the branding of the company. Also included in Adam's responsibilities were the website and stationary items.
